Sourdough starter. A combination of fermented flour and water. It's a beautiful thing. A living thing. A never ending thing. Once you learn this skill, it'll be a skill you have forever and you can share that skill with your children, and they can share it with their children.
Our Story
Since sourdough starter is only a flour and water culture, you can make it yourself! Alternatively, you can purchase my starter, "Flora," here! Some people find starting sourdough starter from scratch can be a little time consuming or challenging. It's up to you how you want to start. What matters is that you are starting!
